Simply break off pieces of the foam clay and press it firmly onto the surface of the pottery, one small piece at a time. Spread the foam clay to cover the surface and press it down flat so it does not peel off once dry.
You can also mould foam clay into spots, zig zags, stripes etc to create some funky designs and features.
The foam clay will air dry giving your pottery a burst of colour and unusual tactile texture. Drying time will vary depending on the thickness of the clay (approx 2-4 hours).
Please make sure the lids of the pots are tightly sealed to prevent foam clay from drying out. If foam clay has partially dried you may be able to revive its elasticity by kneading with a little bit of water
Foam clay is non toxic. Suitable for ages 3yrs +. It is only suitable for the decoration of ornaments, not to be used for any items that require washing eg plates, cups etc.
